One particular type of MCAT passage is like a smorgasbord. In those passages the writer is trying to see how many different science concepts they can mention from different topics and different disciplines. Paragraph to paragraph discontinuity can be jarring in this type of passage if you don't recognize it for what it is. The questions will be like stand-alone questions, the passage like a collection of given information for the questions. That's what this is. It's' like a sandbox with a bucket, a toy truck, a ball, a shovel, and an action figure. These are the things we're going to be playing with.
